**Resource type:** Code solution

**Product or industry:** BigID interactive apps

**Use case or problem:** Provides a simple app action for opening a user-configured external page from BigID.

**Solution or resource:** The app advertises an `updateURL` action, remembers the chosen URL and app name in memory, and opens the configured destination in a browser tab. It defaults to `https://bigid.com/` and listens on port 3000.

**Getting started:** Follow the README to run with npm or Docker.

**Limitations:** The endpoints have no authentication and the destination is not allowlisted. This is a demo; restrict network access and reachable destinations, and do not expose it to untrusted networks.
